Glastonbury Festival 2013, England is the continuation of the tradition that the Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts that has been pulling in hoards of festive-crazed people since 1970. Also known as Glasto or Glastonbury in short, Glastonbury Festival 2013 would be filled with another chart-breaking attendance of millions of people. It is the best, biggest, and most famous festival in all of UK, and probably even in the whole world.

Covering around 900 acres, this is the largest open-air music and performing arts festival that is also renowned for its contemporary music, dance, comedy, theater, circus and other entertainment. A farmer in a somerset valley, Micheal Eavis, stated that he decided to host the first festival, then called as the Pilton Festival, after he saw an open-air Led Zeppelin concert at the Bath Festival of Blues and Progressive Music in 1970. He became the first festival organizer and, along with some few people, including John Hoare, invested everything they had to build the stage. Understandably, because it was in the 70′s, the first festivals were influenced by hippie ethics and free festival movement.

Every year, the number of attendees and the venue grew considerably in size. It is due to the appearance of leading pop and rock artists as headline performances that thousands of attendees participated as well as other artists appearing on smaller stages and other performance areas. The sudden boom and popularity of this festival has earned them films, documentaries and extensive news reports on television and newspapers.
