About Panglao Island

Panglao Island- Bohol consists of plains, hills, and mountains. The island is made of the youngest limestone in Bohol, the Maribojoc Limestone. Its composition is the reason why the airport was not developed. However, it is also the main reason why the formation of sinkholes and caves are abundant in the island. One of its most interesting geological characteristic is the Hinagdanan Cave which includes an underground source of water. Since the island has no lakes or rivers, the cave became an important source of water.

When you say Panglao Island, the most common thought that comes to mind is the Alona Beach. If you want to see Alona Beach in its former beauty, visit during the low season and you will see that the island is worth diving at.
